Working at a sweat shop

Today I took on an odd job but a decent one. I went to a temp agency and was called the same day to start work following day at a temp job. Although I didn't know what it entailed I still went with the flow because money is always welcome. The job was a minimum wage job at a warehouse in California and the warehouse made throw pillows of all different styles and sizes. The job was too put pillows who by the way were of low quality made in China in a pillow case and then from there these pillows go own to be sewed by the same ladies in a warehouse. It saddened me to see that in this warehouse it was all Mexican & Asian women working hard labor for little pay. As I went to my lunch break the curiosity hit me so I checked how much these pillows were worth well they retailed from $40.00- $150.00 worth or more with almost one pillow they would pay me my day of work. I myself as a Hispanic woman wish that we would all encourage one another to rise up and not be afraid to dream big, Why is it that we minorities don't dream big and wish bigger successes for each other, help each other rise up. Why is it that we can't break the cycle and dream bigger and want more for ourselves.
